| Abstract | : | The concept, form and mechanism of the institution of obligatory due zakah can be found in the Islamic heritage of knowledge. However, only a small number of Islamic countries show particular interest to this fact, This thesis covers the study of the management of zakah in it’s practice in Indonesia. By combining the two forms of research, library and survey, this study tries to compare between the aforementioned concept and it’s actual implementation in Indonesia, so that any advantages (or favourable circumstances) or deficiencies may be determined. The study comes to the conclusion that a reformation towards the institution of zakah in Indonesia has to be undertaken, be it, in it’s form or it’s implementation, so that the ideal can be achieved, paying special attention to the aspects of professionalism and trust. |
